Residential Architecture
Why devote an entire website to articles about Residential Architecture? Good question - but since you've found your way here, I'll bet you already know the answer, right?

You're here because you're a little more aware of the built environment around you than most people; you're here because you love houses - new, old, big, small, beautiful, and not-so-beautiful.

You're here because you know that houses impact the lives of many more people than just the ones that live in it - houses are a physical part of our communities. They describe our communities in a way that no marketing campaign from City Hall can ever do. In large part they are our communities.

You're concerned about the houses around you. You want the good ones to be maintained and the bad ones improved. You want new houses to respect and reflect the character, scale, and texture of the fabric of your community.

And you want to know more about how to accomplish such things.

The resources for learning more about houses are tremendous. The volume of literature, websites, and television programs has increased dramatically in just the past few years.

So maybe you're here because you're somewhere in the middle of your search for more information about houses. Or maybe you're just beginning. You won't find everything you want to know here, but you'll likely find something interesting.

I hope you do, and I hope my little corner of the internet helps you on your way.

That's why I'm here, after all!

Sincerely,
